COVID-19 has affected 213 countries around the world, killing 390,000 and infecting close to 6.6 million by June 04, 2020 (worldometer.info). Bangladesh, a South Asian low-middle-income economy, experienced demographic epidemiological transition with rapid urbanization gradual increase in life expectancy. It is seventh most populous country world population of expected be nearly double 2050. The increasing burden communicable diseases Bangladesh can attributable 50% all slum dwellers live Dhaka division. In 2017, National Rapid Response Team IEDCR investigated 26 incidents disease outbreak. joint survey Power Participation Research Centre BRAC Institute Governance Development reveals that per capita daily income urban rural poor drops 80% due present countrywide shutdown enforced government halt spread Covid-19. 40%-50% these took loans meet expenses.
